<![CDATA[How to Clear WhatsApp Files on an Android]]> https://www.psafe.com/en/blog/clear-whatsapp-files-android/ Mon, 05 Jun 2017 15:30:38 +0000 https://www.psafe.com/en/blog/?p=11623 WhatsApp is so popular because it’s such a useful communication app. It lets you send video and pictures to your friends over text message, it lets you group chat, and now it even lets you send and receive GIFs — all internationally, which helps you to keep in touch with family and friends. But one of the biggest problems with WhatsApp is how fast it collects data — files, photos, and videos — that, if accumulated, can take up your phone’s storage and slow down your device. Click here to use WhatsApp Cleaner to remove unwanted WhatsApp files:

WhatsApp Gifs Remove
The best way to clear out those excess files is by using WhatsApp Cleaner. The Cleaner will help you get rid of videos, GIFs, images, and audio messages you don’t need anymore. It will show you how much space your WhatsApp files are taking up, so you’ll see how much room you’ll free up by removing old files. It also lets you select which files — and from which date — you want to delete, so you can hold onto any files you want to keep. While WhatsApp Cleaner is the most efficient way to clear out your WhatsApp files, there is another method for clearing this app’s cache.

Clearing WhatsApp Data Manually

  1. Make sure to backup your WhatsApp folders to your computer using a USB data cord, in case you delete a file you didn’t mean to delete.
  2. Navigate to your SD card in your phone’s file manager. This is where your WhatsApp data will be stored.
  3. There, open the WhatsApp folder.
  4. From there, open the Media subfolder.
  5. In that subfolder, you will find many kinds of media files that you might generate using WhatsApp. These include wallpaper, voice notes, audio, images, and video, among other file folders.
  6. To delete files, you need to open the folder in which you have unwanted data. You will need to click each piece of data to delete it. If you want to delete multiple items, you can click more than one file at a time. You can also delete images and video from WhatsApp by navigating to your Android gallery and selecting the files you want to be deleted.

As you can see, the simplest and most efficient way of clearing WhatsApp data is by using WhatsApp Cleaner. Rather than consistently having to take these steps to clear your cache manually, use WhatsApp Cleaner to regularly remove files before they pile up and slow down your phone.

<![CDATA[Why Does WhatsApp Save Every Single Picture You Receive?]]> https://www.psafe.com/en/blog/whatsapp-save-every-single-picture-receive/ Fri, 19 May 2017 19:00:48 +0000 https://www.psafe.com/en/blog/?p=11263 WhatsApp saves all of the photos you receive by automatically downloading them to your phone’s gallery. While this ensures that you’ll never miss a photo, this feature also eats up a lot of your phone’s memory. To get rid of photos and video you no longer want to keep, use WhatsApp Cleaner. The Cleaner creates more storage space on your phone by helping you delete photos you no longer want to keep. Click here to make more room on your phone:

If you want to remove all WhatsApp files — in addition to photos — to free up space on your device, WhatsApp Cleaner will allow you to quickly do so. WhatsApp Cleaner will also allow you to select which files you want to remove, so that you can keep an occasional photo or two.

But why does WhatsApp insist on saving all of these photos? According to WhatsApp, photos are saved so that users can have quick access to their latest photos. This is certainly true; but if WhatsApp saving your photos has become more trouble than it’s worth, turn off photo-saving with these simple steps below.

How to Stop Downloads of Pictures

  1. Navigate to WhatsApp and click on the three dots on the right-hand corner of the screen to go to the app’s “Settings.”
  2. From there, click on “Chat settings” and then “Media auto-download.”
  3. Under “Media auto-download,” you’ll see three options: “When using cellular data,” “When connected on Wi-Fi,” and “When roaming.”
  4. If you never want WhatsApp to auto-download, tap on each of these three options and then uncheck the “Images” box next to each one. You can also uncheck “Video” if you want to stop WhatsApp from downloading videos.

How to Stop WhatsApp from Saving Photos to Your Phone’s Gallery

Note: This will not stop WhatsApp from saving your photos to your phone’s gallery; instead, it will hide your WhatsApp photos in your gallery.

  1. Download a file explorer for WhatsApp from the Google Play Store.
  2. Navigate to WhatsApp. Once there, open “Media” and then “WhatsApp Images.”
  3. In “WhatsApp Images,” create a file called “.nomedia.”
  4. If you wish to display your photos in your gallery, delete the file and your photos will again be displayed in your gallery.

WhatsApp’s automatic photo-saving can ensure that you’ll never miss a photo. But it also means that your WhatsApp photos can take up too much space on your phone. To keep WhatsApp’s file-saving manageable, be sure to regularly use WhatsApp Cleaner — and perhaps turn off WhatsApp’s photo-saving feature altogether.

<![CDATA[Revitalize Your Whatsapp Account with WhatsApp Cleaner]]> https://www.psafe.com/en/blog/revitalize-whatsapp-account-whatsapp-cleaner-2/ Thu, 23 Mar 2017 19:00:45 +0000 https://www.psafe.com/en/blog/?p=9049 The WhatsApp app enables you to store a variety of data acquired from your conversations on WhatsApp. Gifs, photos, messages, and other such items sent and received through WhatsApp get stored on your phone. As a result, this accumulation can siphon a great deal of your phone’s memory. This means that there is a lot of valuable storage space that WhatsApp is using.

However, there is a simple way to solve this dilemma. You can easily remove old files and manage all of the data in WhatsApp by using DFNDR’s WhatsApp Cleaner feature that allows you to gain storage space by eliminating old and unused videos, audio messages, GIFs, and images shared on WhatsApp. This feature shows you exactly how much space you can save removing old WhatsApp files from the phone. You can select which files, from which date, you want to remove from your device. Click here to get started by removing old files from your WhatsApp app:

WhatsApp videos Remove
It’s important to take advantage of this feature so that your phone isn’t bogged down with useless files. Your WhatsApp app can quickly bloat in size if you don’t regularly clean out all of the old data from the app. That’s a lot of storage space that you could be using for other files on your device, such as new apps, photos, or videos.

Why You Should Use WhatsApp

WhatsApp has become one of the world’s most popular messenger apps. With over 1 billion users in over 100 countries, WhatsApp has almost monopolized the messenger services outside of the SMS functions provided by typical cell phones. WhatsApp is frequently used as the sole medium of conversation when people are out of town or out of the country. Because roaming can cause data charges to surge, WhatsApp circumvents this issue by using a different service that doesn’t require direct data usage.

How to Manage WhatsApp

If you want to further manage your WhatsApp app, the Private Gallery is a feature that hides photos you do not want to keep visible in your Android’s gallery. Unlike the App Lock, the pictures placed in the Private Gallery disappear from your normal gallery and WhatsApp photos. Only the device owner can access it, and to do so he or she must type in a password to access the private gallery. Click here to access Private Gallery:

Both the WhatsApp Cleaner and the Private Gallery will significantly improve the functionality of your WhatsApp application. Never again will you have to worry about your WhatsApp hoarding all of your phone’s memory. Simply utilize these two features to improve your experience with the WhatsApp messaging app.
