How to Save Videos Offline Through an Android App
There are a few different ways that you can save online videos to your Android for offline viewing.
For whatever reason, you may want to download online videos onto your device for offline viewing. Maybe you’ll be traveling for the weekend, and you want to download your favorite exercise videos or cooking shows. Luckily, there are a few different ways you can do this directly on your Android device — you no longer need your PC to download a video, or format a video file.
YouTube Go
Google announced this app last fall, but the official release date is still unknown. The app was developed with Indian users in mind, so they are the first users to test the app out. The app was specifically designed to be used in areas with spotty Internet, so that you can more easily watch and share videos even when you don’t have a good connection. But that doesn’t mean you have to have even a bad connection to use it — it was designed for saving videos offline.

This app raises some questions, however. Does it still work well if you have limited device storage space and memory? How large will file sizes be, and what will the quality be like? Currently, you won’t be able to download high quality videos (720p and higher). The app is supposed to go easy on your phone, and even includes an option for sharing locally without using data. The app is now available to download from the Play Store in India. If it proves to be successful, it will likely be released globally.
AVD Download Video
This free app is one of the best video-downloading apps available in the Play Store because it’s straight-forward and easy to use. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with YouTube videos, but you can use the app to download videos from other websites. All downloads are stored in your phone’s gallery. You can also purchase an ad-free version of this app.
Offline Video Player
This app is available for free from the Play Store. Although this app does not work for YouTube videos, it will play a variety of movie and video files, including HD files. The app is simple in design and boasts smooth video playback.
DownTube Free Video Downloader
This app is also free from the Play Store, and has a simple, intuitive design. You can download HD videos quickly from anywhere on the Web, including sites like Dailymotion. Like the other apps mentioned, this app doesn’t support YouTube videos.
