Established in Los Angeles, California, Faraday Future is making leeway to rapidly increase the technological development of electric cars. The company released its first blueprints for an electronic vehicle at the January 2016 Consumer Electronics Show, but they did not announce when they will begin producing the vehicle.
However, the company presented its first production vehicle in January 2017 at the same Consumer Electronics Show. Only 300 additional vehicles will be available, and they won’t be released until 2018.

The Cost
The car, titled the FF 91, is estimated to cost around $300,000 at this time. The final cost of the vehicle is a little hazy because the company is still unsure where they will produce the vehicle. Because taxes and imports vary from country to country, the final MSRP of the vehicle will be dependent upon the production location of the FF 91.
The Features
The company claims that the car can travel up to 378 miles in one drive, utilizing a 130 kilowatt lithium-ion battery pack. The horsepower is 1,050. This enables the vehicle to go from 0 to 60 in around 2.4 seconds.
Faraday did an excellent job combining aesthetics with aerodynamics. When it turns on, a row of lights activate around the front of the car, exposing the aerodynamic shape of the vehicle. Aerodynamics is crucial for the range, and does an excellent job assisting the battery life of the car.
Additionally, the car contains a facial recognition feature that will unlock the door as the driver walks up to it. There is also facial recognition capabilities programmed inside the vehicle, as well, that activate a variety of settings.
Autonomous Driving
The vehicle also contains autonomous driving capabilities. This is a controversial feature, especially after an autonomous Uber went the wrong way on a one-way highway in Pittsburgh, causing a wreck and multiple injuries. Many people are skeptical of the technology, and wish that companies would wait until the technology improves and is safer to operate. On the other hand, proponents of autonomous driving have a vision of a crash-free future, where machines correct for human error in driving.
