These Are the Highest Paying Tech Jobs in 2016
From Administrators to Managers, these are the people in tech making the big bucks! Maybe it’s time to send out your resume for these positions.
Jobs in technology have changed significantly since the dot com boom, but in many respects the highest paying jobs still have similarities. The skills required to fill the needs of these high paying positions are very specific, and it often takes years of training to perfect them. Most are at the managerial level, and many are dealing with the new issue of sprawling data. Let’s take a look at which jobs in the technology industry are offering the best salaries.
Software Architect and Software Development Manager
Still very much the backbone of the IT industry, Software Architects are the people that build the software (and apps) that we use every day. Often writing in C++, Python, Javascript, or any number of languages, it takes a number of years training, debugging, and even failing before Software Architects master their craft. Software Development managers, on the other hand, are those who are able to oversee an entire project, from the time the software is designed until it is fully tested, completed, and sent off to production.

Data Scientists and Architects
As big data continues to expand and more devices find users, the need for data scientists and architects will only continue to grow. No longer just in the world of Access and SQL, data scientists and architects are looking to make data both easier to use (data scientists) and easier to manage (data architects). As the big data fad turns to normalcy, it will be all about “fast data.” These two professions will lead the way to ensuring it is possible to process big data quickly.
Analytics Managers
One the data is processed, normalized, and put into a digestible format, it can still end up being big. This is where Analytics Managers come in. It is their job to gather relevant data and pass it along to marketing, sales, researchers, and decision makers. A good Analytics Manager can ultimately make the difference between a successful product push and one that falls flat on its face!
Systems Architect
None of the above would be possible without a good Systems Architect. No matter if it’s rolling out sweeping group policy changes or performing maintenance on networks to ensure uptime, these employees are like referees in sports; the less you hear their name, the better job they’re doing. If you don’t know who the system architect is at your job, chances are everything is running smoothly!
